Fiberglass Mesh Fabric Wall Reinforcement Mesh and Greige Fabric Specifications Fiberglass mesh fabric is often shortened to fiberglass mesh. The alkaline resistant type is the mainstream version in the market. It is a finished glass fiber mesh product that has received alkaline resistant coating and high temperature setting. This finished mesh is different from uncoated greige fabric. It serves as a core material for construction crack resistance and board reinforcement. The greige fabric on the other hand is a semi finished product. It has not yet gone through alkaline resistant coating or emulsion stabilization treatment. At this stage the fabric remains in its as woven condition directly after coming off the loom. No chemical binding agents or protective layers are applied to either side.
