In the natural gas liquefaction (LNG) industry, LCC (ASTM A352 Grade LCC) low-temperature high-strength carbon steel castings have become the key material selection for core equipment due to their precise adaptation to the low-temperature environment of -46℃. In an LNG plant, valves and pump bodies from the liquefaction unit to the storage and transportation system all need to withstand the dual tests of low temperature, high pressure and medium impact. The composition advantage of LCC precisely meets this requirement - the excellent low-temperature toughness endowed by 0.20-0.50% nickel element ensures that there is no risk of brittle cracking in the valve body and valve core when the valve is frequently opened and closed at -46℃.
