Product Information As a nickel-copper alloy, Monel 401 exhibits excellent corrosion resistance, offering excellent resistance to seawater, saltwater, various acids, and alkaline solutions, and remains stable in harsh chemical environments. It possesses high strength and hardness, with a tensile strength of approximately 550 MPa, a yield strength of approximately 240 MPa, an elongation of approximately 40%, and a hardness typically between HRB 60-75. Its excellent wear and fatigue resistance makes it suitable for components subjected to dynamic loads. It can be subjected to both cold and hot working, such as cold drawing, cold rolling, forging, and stamping, and can also be joined by welding. It has excellent machinability and can be machined using conventional iron-based machining methods, but high-speed machining requires the use of water coolant.
