In the thermal power generation and heating systems of the power industry, WCC (ASTM A216 Grade WCC) has become an ideal material for boiler feed water pipes and steam valves due to its wide temperature range adaptability from -29℃ to +425℃. In the boiler feed water system, WCC valves need to withstand high-temperature feed water at 250℃ and a working pressure of 6MPa. Their mechanical properties of tensile strength ranging from 485 to 655MPa can ensure that the valves do not deform under long-term high-pressure conditions. Combined with precise casting processes, the wall thickness deviation of the valve body is controlled within ±5%, avoiding the risk of cracking caused by local stress concentration. In the heating networks of regions with severe cold in winter, the brittleness resistance of WCC material can play a key role.
